Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide who will warmly welcome you to Tanzania. After a short briefing, you will transfer to your lodge in Arusha, located at the foot of Mount Meru. This is your first evening to settle in, enjoy the tranquil garden surroundings, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Arusha National Park, a jewel that combines diverse habitats ranging from lush montane forests to open savannahs and soda lakes. You will enjoy a morning game drive where giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, and colobus monkeys are often sighted. Later, embark on a guided walking safari with a park ranger for a more intimate encounter with the flora and fauna. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Following an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, massive elephant herds, and rolling savannah. A full-day game drive will immerse you in the park’s wildlife diversity, with possible sightings of lions, leopards, and large numbers of zebras and wildebeest. In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu, located on the fertile highlands near Ngorongoro, where you will spend the night.

Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Within its 20-kilometer-wide caldera lies an astonishing variety of wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the elusive black rhinoceros. After an extensive game drive and picnic lunch, drive onwards to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the Datoga pastoralists.

Rise early to meet the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa. Join them for a morning hunt and learn about their unique traditions and survival skills. Later, interact with the Datoga blacksmiths, who still practice ancient metalworking techniques. After these enriching experiences, return to Karatu for overnight.

After breakfast, drive to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu. Here you will enjoy a guided cultural tour showcasing local farms, banana plantations, and markets, followed by a traditional local lunch prepared with fresh ingredients. In the afternoon, transfer to Arusha Airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of historic Stone Town.

After a leisurely breakfast, you may take a short morning stroll through Stone Town’s narrow alleys, exploring spice markets and historical sites (optional activity). Later, transfer to Nungwi on the northern tip of Zanzibar, renowned for its pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters. This is the beginning of your beach retreat.

Enjoy a full day at leisure on the beach. You can relax under the palm trees, swim in the turquoise sea, or choose from optional activities such as snorkeling, diving, or a spice plantation tour. The day is yours to embrace the tropical paradise.
