As you enjoy your full-day game drive, watch elephants bathing and drinking by the riverbanks, giraffes stretching to feed from acacia trees, and predators lurking quietly in the tall grass. Birdwatchers will also be amazed, as Tarangire is home to more than 500 species of birds.

Alongside these giants, you’ll spot zebras, wildebeests, hippos wallowing in pools, jackals, hyenas, and an incredible variety of birds including flamingos shimmering across the soda lake.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, surrounded by nature at its finest, before continuing with game viewing in the afternoon. As the day comes to an end, you will ascend from the crater and return to your lodge in Karatu, reflecting on the day’s incredible encounters.
